DescriptionExplains that the British Commissioner, Earl of Crawford and Balcarres [James Ludovic Lindsay], has already been informed that Sir William Thomson will represent the Royal Society at the International Congress on Electricity. This will be held in Paris in September [1881]. [William] Spottiswoode states he also hopes to be in Paris for the Congress.
