| Description | Updates Leonard Courtney of the situation regarding the presentation of copies of the Challenger Reports to institutions. States there is a discrepancy between the list drafted by the Royal Society in January 1882 and the 2 lists sent in by the Stationary Office, which contains institutes the Royal Society 'hold themselves free of responsibility'. Requests a new list of Institutions for the approval of the Lords and at the recommendation of the Royal Society.
