Title | Letter from [Thomas] Clifford Allbutt, St. Radegund's, Cambridge, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Allbutt; Sir; Thomas Clifford (1836-1925); British physician |
Date | 15 November 1919 |
Description | Larmor's letter was welcome. He was in London two days ago. He was complimented on the paper and appreciation is an honour. The 'key is not to speak with the special learning of one of the few controlling scientific minds of our time!' Larmor's verdict on reading his paper accepted his good intentions and turned a blind eye to howlers. Notes the comparison of their Medical School with Engineering. In a postscript he writes that he was pleased to see Bayliss's medal. |
