Title | Copy letter from J T [James Thomson] Bottomley, 13 University Gardens, Glasgow, to Rich[ar]d T. Wright, University Press, Cambridge |
Creator | Bottomley; James Thomson (1845-1926); Irish physicist |
Date | 24 February 1908 |
Description | He is sorry not to have replied to Wright's letter of 11 February. He was unable to obtain Lady Kelvin's wishes on the subject of the hydrodynamics volume, but he has now spoken with her. He relayed Wright's view that it could do no more than break even. Lady Kelvin would be pleased if the volume was taken up by Professor Larmor, but she feels it would not be justified at present, if it would involve her in pecuniary loss. He would like to hear if Wright has any proposition on the subject. |
