TitleDraft letter from Michael Foster, Royal Society, Burlington House to unknown correspondent
DescriptionInforms that a letter from Lord Frederick Cavendish stated that the Lords were prepared to ask Parliament to provide a total sum not exceeding £2500 for the purpose of the Circumpolar expedition. The Circumpolar committee has no reason to anticipate any wide departure from the sum proposed, and their work will be done before the close of the financial year on 31 March 1884.
