Title | Letter from Robert Williams Wood, Department of Physics, University of Wisconsin, 237 Langdon Street, Madison, Wisconsin, to Charles Vernon Boys |
Date | 10 December 1899 |
Description | Sir Henry Trueman Wood has invited Wood to give a lecture at the Society of Arts and although his method does not have much connection with the arts, he has agreed. He hopes to meet Boys and his colleagues when he arrives in February. He thinks that the Physical Society might be interested in sound wave photographs and he describes in detail his new work in this area, making photographs, diagrams and Edison Kinetoscope film. He wrote to Boys from Haversham last summer but has forgotten the questions he asked - can Boys find his letter? |
