TitleLetter from Edward Sabine, St James's Place to Humphrey Lloyd
Date8 April 1839
DescriptionDiscussion of some of the dip results of [James Clark] Ross at Westbourne Green, London, and the possible cause for their being in error.

Discussion of the results of their intensity observations in the British Isles, the method of their reduction and the problems this presents. The report of the British magnetic survey is due to be printed, and Sabine and Lloyd differ on how to reduce certain results. Sabine feels the report may need to be deferred another year.
