DescriptionBroun expresses an objection to Lloyd's method that varying temperature affects the time of vibrations of the balance needle, but there is no evidence that it does not affect the position of the needle in the same way. Broun's paper on the balance magnetometer had already determined the value of E. Discussion on the value of K with equation. Broun congratulates Lloyd on his acceptance to the Royal Academy. Broun asks Lloyd if there is a way of getting a portable unifilar magnetometers.
