The notebok continues with positional observations taken aboard ship as Benjamin Robins travelled to India. These commence on 25 January 1749/50 and include a series of observations taken at anchor at the mouth of the River Gambia, including 'by a large Hadley' [quadrant?] (pp.40-54).
