Description | Monthly report of the superintendents of excavation. Steady progress has been made in the south-west gallery or chamber, with six-foot parallels being excavated. Bones are less abundant than formerly in the rock-like breccia. Three flint implements have been found and are described. An outline tracing of the first to be discovered on 4 July, is provided. The cave earth has recently yielded examples of bony faeces.
