AdminHistoryCaleb Burrell Rose (1790-1872), in whose papers this painting is preserved, wrote on the rabbit tapeworm Coenurus for the London Medical Gazette in 1833 and later corresponded on the subject with Richard Owen. The significance of his reserach was noted in the summary "Note on Coenurus". By T Spencer Cobbom, Linnean Society, 5 May 1864.
