TitleLetter from John Allan Broun, Makerstoun, Kelso to Edward Sabine
Date11 November 1847
DescriptionBroun expresses difficulty in understanding a table from the St Helena observations regarding the horizontal force magnet and the temperature and describes his attempt to determine the true quantity from the corrected and uncorrected scale means and temperature coefficient. Informs Sabine they have not received a copy of the Greenwich magnetic observations from 1844.
