TitleLetter from John Caldecott, [Thiruvananthapuram] 'Travandrum' to Edward Sabine
Date15 February 1842
DescriptionCaldecott sends Sabine the magnetic observations for The Royal Society at [Thiruvananthapuram]. Caldecott has not received acknowledgement for observations sent from the [Thiruvananthapuram] Observatory since May [1841] and fears they are of no or little value, an opinion shared by the Travancore authorities who would gladly save the expense of the ‘establishment’ of the [observatory].
