DescriptionDaniell informs Ross he has always obtained his ‘ether’ from [John Frederick] Newman, who has received an order to supply Ross’s expedition [reference to the Antarctic expedition] and observations. Daniell’s lectures start tomorrow in Addiscombe, however he will postpone a lecture to be present for the committee of the council. Daniell will meet officers of the fixed observatories at the Royal Society in regard to their instruments.
