DescriptionForbes asks Sabine to send him two letters sent by Sir [Roderick Impey] Murchison. Refers to an Edinburgh meeting and members of the Council of The Royal Society of Edinburgh. Forbes has been in communication with Dr Balfour [Stewart] and Professor [Philip] Kelland and suggests they are the ‘now the proper persons with whom communication relative to the meeting of 1850 should be made with’. References the appointment of the Treasurer.
