TitleLetter from Johann Georg Forchhammer, Copenhagen to Edward Sabine
Date17 October 1862
DescriptionForchhammer thanks Sabine for the bottles of [sea water]. Forchhammer informs Sabine he is ‘unable to send the paper on sea water early in November’ as on his return from England he found ‘other business waiting for’ him and he has had ‘little time for scientific occasion’. Forchhammer refers to his trip to England. Forchhammer refers to ‘our princess and your future queen’ who returned a few days ago and he intends to pay her ‘gratulations for her marriage’ [referring to Alexandra of Denmark and Albert Edward, the Prince of Wales]. Notes the Princess will be travelling to London to spend time with Queen Victoria.
