DescriptionHuggins thanks Sabine for Dr Robinson’s note, and informs he was ‘unable to make any addition to the observations of the spectrum of Uranus’. Discussion regarding the spectrum of Neptune. Huggins encloses an abstract from his observations of the spectrum of Encke’s comet [see MS/257/2/324] and provided Professor [George Gabriel] Stokes with a ‘full account of the observation’ including appearance and drawings. Expresses frustration at not being able to get new observations on the motion of stars. Huggins discusses alterations to his telescope to get more [terrestrial light].
