DescriptionEllery hopes the matter of the ‘remittance’ has been set right, and if the expense of the anemometer should exceed the remittance of £60 he has written to provide contingency. Ellery would like Dr Robinson’s manual of anemometry. Reference to purchasing self-registering magnetic instruments. Captain Kay one of their Board of Visitors has given the observatory library a set of transactions. Professor [William Parkinson] Wilson has written to Sabine regarding the Melbourne telescope.

Includes the cost of a complete set of magnetic instruments of £436.
