DescriptionMeldrum remarks on his voyage to England. Once he has arrived Meldrum intends to visit Sabine and then ‘proceed to Kew at once’. Describes witnessing a ‘spectacle’ at the Cape of Good Hope where he was delayed on his journey [to England] and remarks on counting ‘1094 brilliant meteors’. Refers to remarks made by Sir Thomas Maclear and the Cape Observatory scientists Rokeby.
