DescriptionNeumayer is glad to inform the establishment of an observatory has been decided, as well as magnetical observations systematically recorded. Neumayer is currently using instruments constructed by Mr Lamont, but intends to propose to the government the importance of using instruments similar to those employed in colonial observatories. Update regarding a magnetic survey of the ‘colony’.
