Kohl was invited ‘to write the history of the discovery of the northeast of America and has finished the first volume. Brief summary of the volume and its publication. Kohl believes the works of the ‘Cabot’s, Harkin’s, Gilbert’s and other navigators would benefit in England. Discussion regarding a translation of Kohl's essay on gulf streams and asks Sabine’s opinion about this.
