DescriptionLangberg thanks Sabine for his letter and magnetic publications. Refers to unusual magnetic disturbances. Langberg describes a conversation with Mr Gouillet regarding ‘the instrument of Mr Fox’ and its accuracy. Langberg agrees with Sabine regarding the ‘use of the horizontal needles in high magnetic latitudes, when the object sough is the total magnetic force’. Refers to instructions regarding the horizontal force intensity. Sabine has written to Mr [Christopher] Hansteen about a magnetic observatory at ‘Bosekop’.
