DescriptionDe la Rue sends Sabine a copy of Professor [Balfour] Stewart's letter regarding balance and accounts. Stewart informs De la Rue he spent the grant of £50 from The Royal Society on procuring ‘photolithographic impressions of curves at Lisbon and Kew’. Stewart refers to the account book at Kew containing details of all grants, and clarifies ‘no money received from the sale of magnetic instruments’ was used for this purpose. Stewart is happy to present any information needed, but cites the details of all accounts and receipts for each account is the ‘best source of information for any member of the Committee’.
