DescriptionSabine informs Meldrum he has read his letter carefully is prepared to forward to Lord Carnarvon along with plans and estimates. Discusses balance and accounts for the building and instruments. Sabine suggests Meldrum ‘should include on the estimate the charge for a photoheliograph’ and describes its value. Sabine agrees with Meldrum’s preference for an Assistant from [England] and Meldrum’s opinion that he ‘should be provided with “working plans” in the way’ he proposes.
