DescriptionStewart received Sabine’s with the ‘interesting communications from Melbourne’. Stewart received a similar letter from a friend and sends Sabine ‘a note of the results of the comparison between the disturbances’ in [Melbourne and Kew] [see MS/257/4/234]. Refers to Mr [Richard Christopher] Carrington seeing the ‘phenomena in the solar spot’ on 1st September [possibly referring to the Carrington Event]. Instruments received from Mr Jones and Captain Blakiston has delivered his books various observations.
