Description of the Cape Coast Castle and refers to it as the ‘headquarters of the African Company’. [The Cape Coast Castle was a trading post built in modern day Ghana by European traders in the sixteenth century, often called a 'slave castle'. It held enslaved Africans before they were forcefully taken onto ships and sold in the Americas].

Refers to profits of the individuals of the Company, the ‘late war’, ‘other Dutch forts’ and the [Transatlantic] Slave Trade. Discusses a ‘native town’ being rebuilt close by that will become a ‘handsome African town’, remarks on the soil. Refers to former enslaved Africans. Refers on the ‘powerful African nation’, the Kingdom of [Ashanti], superstitions, force of the [Ashanti] army, and remarks on the King of the [Ashanti].
