DescriptionRefers to two letters from Trevelyan and the differences between the official and private letter. Trevelyan’s letters discussed the matter of Sabine’s extra pay, the official letter stated the Treasury wished to come to a decision regarding this, and the private latter stated it is now ‘desirable that the decision should be deferred till the whole service is completed’. Sabine attempts to discuss the possible reasons for this difference.
