DescriptionSymonds acknowledges Wilson’s letter regarding a resolution of the Board of Visitors about the equatorial telescope. Informs Wilson that a sum has been ‘applied towards the purchase of an equatorial telescope’ and will be forwarded when needed. The sum will be ‘expended under the order’ of Major [Charles] Pasley. Informs Wilson the government will be ‘glad’ to have the assistance of the Board of Visitors.
