DescriptionIncludes a copy of a letter from Edward Sabine to [Robert] FitzRoy in which he states he is sending a letter from Welsh regarding ‘the suspension of marine barometers’ and FitzRoy can show this to Washington if he wishes. Sabine informs FitzRoy that Gassiot conducted the experiment of suspending a barometer as per Welsh’s instructions with desirable results.
