Wartmann discusses his long series of experiments and research regarding the value of conductivity, and the high temperatures of substances such as brick, sand, lava, coal, and discussion regarding animal matter. Discusses his experiments, results, and theory. Reference to preserving substances. Wartmann entrusts Sabine with the secret of his process and authorises him to submit it to such verification as may be deemed appropriate. It would give Wartmann immense satisfaction for his process to be used by the navy of a nation which has all his sympathies. Remarks regarding provisory guns contained in the service canisters for the artillery and the infantry, the power of bullet. Reference to explorations to the Arctic regions.
