The volume covers manuscripts received between January 1927 and April 1936, which corresponds to printed volumes 215 to 226 of Philosophical Transactions B for biological sciences and printed volumes 113 to 121 of Proceedings B.

A sheet pasted on inside cover tallies all entries from 1927 to April 1936 inclusive.
