DescriptionLubbock annexes the Council minute which states, he believes, that Royal Society funds cannot be available for either wine, or for any part of the Anniversary dinner. He requests that the instruments in Kater's possession be made available to Mr [George] Dollond, so that they may be inscribed with Roya Society numbers - 27, 31, 46 and 60 from the Royal Society list. Lubbock sees that Kater's letter is dated from Boulogne and he hopes that Kater will soon be back permanently.
