Description | Transmits a memorial from Sir Francis Ronalds asking to participate of a peculiar recompense, the improvement of self registering Magnetic and Meteorological instruments which has the recommendations of both the Royal Society and the British Association. States that two people, Francis Ronalds and Mr C Brooke, are well suited for the task, both have worked independently from each other with different equipment and methods. States the activities of the two persons encourages the establishment of a joint Committee between the institutions, if the Government wishes for it. Asks for the matter to be brought to the government and for the memorial to be treated favourable. [The memorial is not enclosed]. |
