Description'Sir, I am directed by the P & C of the Royal society to acquaint you that your letter dated 10th June 1863 inclosing a letter dated 25th November 1825 written to you by Mr Brande at that time Secretary, [Royal Society] was read at a meeting of the council held this day and that your letter and that of Mr Brande were ordered to be entered on the minutes. P.S. I return herewith enclosed Mr Brande's letter'.
