Description'Gentlemen, In answer to your letter to him of the 8th [instant] I am directed by the Treasurer of the Royal Society to request you to be good enough to take out a power of attorney which will enable you to sell Royal Society stock in ? To the amount of £2000 (two thousand pounds). If the power can be prepared and sent here next Thursday before 2pm, it will be in time to be sealed at the Council which is then to meet'.
