Description'Sir, I am directed by the President of the Royal Society to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 4th inst desiring to learn for the information of the First Commissioner of Her Majesty's Works, whether the employment of the great hall and adjoining library at Burlington House for holding the Oxford middle class examinations from the 24th of May to the 1st of June inclusive would be attended with inconvenience to the Royal Society, and in answer I am directed to say that the President regrets that the desired accomodation could not be afforded without inconvenience to the Royal Society.'
