TitleCopy letter from [Thomas Henry] Huxley, President of the Royal Society; to G. W. Underhill, R.N., The Admiralty
Date16 July 1885
DescriptionIn relation to the request to print invitations to a meeting of the Board of Visitors to Greenwich Observatory, and for a number to be sent to the Admiralty. States that the letters of the Astronomer Royal [William Henry Mahoney Christie] and the Superintendent of the Nautical Almanac [John Russell Hind] have already been printed and can be acquired easily. Suggests sending these to the Members of the Board with the intimation for a meeting to consider the questions of the Commissioner of the Admiralty. [See MS/427/444]
