Also mentions work under the Committee on the synthesis of atropine at Liverpool University, work on methylating and ethylating agents, tar testing work and Pope's work with photographic sensitisers. Describes the Committee's involvement in an advisory role with a memo on essential drugs, the production of saccharine, aircraft dope and wartime supply of chemists.
