TitleLetter from [James C Philip], Assistant Secretary of the Chemistry Sub-Committee, to K J P Orton, University College of North Wales
Date29 December 1915
DescriptionThanks Orton for his letter -- notes that he is the only one who has 'not adpoted the contact method of production' -- does not think it matters if there is some alcohol or water left in the paraldehyde, as long as the catalyst is removed. Would like details of Orton's process. Notes that the biggest producers of sodium bichromate are J & J White in glasgow, or E P Potter in Bolton. Hopes that Orton will be able to provide 30lbs of paraldehyde in total.
