DescriptionNotes the collection of reports from vessels in places where blue colouration of the Sun has been observed from September 1883 to January 1884. Material of this kind might still be gathered but it has not been specifically asked for. The author notes that his time is much occupied and apologises for being used to writing in Greman and in German lettering style.

A rough pencil sketch has been made on the back of the letter.
