TitleLetter from Charles Algernon Parsons, Ray, Kirkwelpington, Newcastle-on-Tyne, to [Dugald] Clerk
Date8 July 1915
DescriptionThe mine is nearly complete and should be tested in the tank next week. Several parts have been improved and remade. The efficiency of pumps and motor exceeds their expectations. They are arranging the interior to guard against any explosion. The mine sent to them has a full charge of damp gun cotton. Precautions have been taken which will not effect the trial. Notes the disbanding of the Royal Society War Committee by Council. He is glad that Fisher is back at the Admiralty.
