DescriptionGives the Committee's views on measures that can be taken in the event of insufficient importation. Suggests stoppage of brewing to free up cereals -- the adoption of a 90% milling standard for bread, which would reduce the amount of food available for cattle -- suggests price fixing for meats to make use of cereal in livestock feeding less profitable, and increasing prices of barley and wheat. Gives recommendations on the use of flour in textiles, starch, biscuits, cakes, dog biscuits, feeding of flour to stock in Ireland.
