DescriptionEncloses the Food Committee's report on food products from the West Indies [Caribbean] -- describes the experiments on baking bread with flour from ground banana chips and the conclusion that it is suitable for food but not attractive and prone to mould -- notes that the proposal from the Jamaica Agricultural Society to send sweet potato chips for flour is more promising -- suggests a committee be formed representing the Ministry of Food, Wheat Commission, Dept of Shipping Control and the Food (War) Committee to consider it -- encloses an analysis of sweet vs white potato.
