Description'I have honour to enclose the draft of a letter to the Prime Minister and the First Lord of the Treasury, applying for a Parliamentary grant in aid of the Antarctic Expedition, which has been prepared by a Joint Committee of the Royal Society and the Royal Geogarahical Society. I requests that you will inform me whether you will allow your name to be printed at the foot of the letter as approving its contents'. [Enclosure not present]
