TitleLetter from Edward Cocks to A B [Alfred Bray] Kempe
Date16 September 1901
DescriptionWritten from Bake, St Germans R.S.O. Cornwall
Has duly received a letter from Hodge followed by Kempe's and the cheque. He is sorry to hear of Longhurst's illness. Knows nothing about Hodge but has an idea that he is a sort of clerk Longhurst had latterly. He has sent him on the cheque for £10 and hopes it will be all right. He goes up to London on Wednesday the 18th for about 3 weeks (until October 5th as far as he knows) when he shall be in Cornwall again for about a fortnight and to London for good about October 20th. Has only had fair weather here, today it has poured. He hopes Kempe had a good time abroad. He thinks this will catch Kempe before he goes.
