TitleLetter from Edward Cocks to A B [Alfred Bray] Kempe
Date29 October 1901
DescriptionWritten from 43 Charing Cross, S.W.
Thinks he ought to let Kempe know that Scott has drawn a bill on them from Capetown for £200. They have had no advice or notice of this but he thought it right to pay it under the circumstances. It was presented here about 11.30 and he could not refer to anyone and hopes Kempe will consider he acted for the best. He does not think they should be put into such a position as if S had been away Cocks's firm would have been very awkwardly situated. What a bother it all is.
