Description | Suggests that [Cyril] Longhurst, the expedition Secretary, should be invited to the Royal Society dinner. With additional notes by Teall, one dated 11 July 1901 reading 'I think we should do this if possible', and a second dated 12 July 1901 reading 'Kempe says you disapprove. I replied to this that I would send on the letter but that space was limited'. A note on the reverse [undated] from M F [Sir Michael Foster] to [Sir Arthur William] Rucker, which reads 'My view is that Longhurst is on absolutely a different footing from the staff'. States that Rucker should decide, and to let Kempe know. |
