TitleLetter from Cyril Longhurst to A B [Alfred Bray] Kempe
Date23 July 1901
DescriptionWritten from the Royal Society, Burlington House, London, W.
Asks Kempe to sign the cheques for the officer's 3 months advance on their salary. They are all worrying him for it! He is afraid he does not have Captain Scott's signature to the schedule of amounts but he has seen them in rough form and will sign them, as being in order, when he sees them again. He went down to the ship and Longhurst could not get his signature. He will tomorrow morning when he shall see Scott at the office. Will Kempe please kindly leave the cheque-book etc with Mr Harrison.
