Date2 February-31 December 1849 [1909-1910]
DescriptionFamily transcription of Sir John Herschel's original diary. The volume describes Herschel's scientific and social life, concentrating on the latter during this year. It commences with Herschel attending the National School for the purpose of 'prosecuting Parker a man caught by Crick stealing coals at the school house'.
