TitleReport on results of the Mansion House meeting of 9 June 1913
Date[June 1913]
DescriptionSub-committee responsible for allocating funds to the dependents of the deceased of the British Antarctic Expedition describes conclusions reached after discussions surrounding the funds. The Public Trustee of the dependents will have advising role, but the benificiaries of the trust shall have ultimate control. The amount of money allocated to each dependent is once again outlined, and the reasons for this allocation are explained. The sub-committee recommends that a Scott Memorial Fund not be established, primarily because the money concerned seems to be donated with the expectation that it go towards grants for the dependents of the deceased; thus, the excess money will also go to the dependents of the deceased (as well as Mrs. Abbott), and these sums are stated.
